Shoshone City and Rural Fire Protection District

The Shoshone City and Rural Fire Protection District was originally two separate departments, the Shoshone City Fire Department and the Wood River Fire District. In 2004 the two departments were combined to become the Shoshone City and Rural Fire Protection District. The district covers a vast area, from the Jerome County line to the Blaine County line, and from the Gooding County line to halfway to Richfield on Hwy 26 and halfway to Dietrich on Hwy 24.
